Sinner, dost thou care?

The hearts of the saints
Are moved for thee;
O sinner, dost thou care?
And oft and again thy very name
Is breathed to God in prayer.

The heart of the Savior
Is moved for thee;
O sinner, dost thou hear?
As thy name He speaks, His precious cheeks
Are stained by falling tear.

Hell from beneath
Is moved for thee;
O sinner, stop and think!
If thou refuse, thy soul thou'lt lose
Thou'rt standing on the brink.

The heart of thy God
Is moved for thee;
And O, His love's been proved!
His Son He gave thy soul to save,
O sinner, art thou moved?

That was really a great piece. It was so nicely writen!..would love to read more of your poems!! but sir, i couldnt understand the last paragraph sir.. wat does it mean?

"Oh! For courage to step out again,
Knowing the labour shall not be in vain;
To live is Christ, to die is gain,
‘Tis God’s strange design to overcome pain."

more of my poems? hahaha...that's a rare attempt actually. i don't usually write poems. :)

but to explain that last part, the whole idea of the poem is about someone who has built a wall around him to hide himself in but realised that it's doing more harm than good. but coming out is just as scary so he's asking here for courage to step out, knowing that the effort put into stepping out will not be in vain. he realises that the remedy for all the hurt and pain that caused him to hide behind those walls in the first place lies in knowing that in living he lives for Christ and even the worse that can happen, which is death, will be gain because he knows he'll be with Christ. "to live is Christ, to die is gain" is actually a verse from the Bible. hhmmm...i think my explanation is more confusing than the poem now. :(

so if he lives for Christ and nobody else, and if he need not fear even death, then there's no need to fear coming out from the walls he built and exposing himself. is it clearer?

actually that verse in the Bible gives me much hope. to know that even death is not the end of it all for me. to know that Christ has paid the price for my sin so i can be with God when i die. blessed hope!
